Professional Self-Concept and Critical Thinking of Pediatric Nurses in Turkey

Objecetives: There has been an increasing demand for nurses with advanced professional qualifications. A self-concept and critical thinking in are necessary determining complicated patient care needs finding applying accurate practical solutions management. This study conducted to determine level of the relationship between these concepts pediatric nurses. Study Design: The was 120 working at a public hospital Middle Anatolia Turkey. data were collected using questionnaire, Professional Self-Concept Scale Nurses (PSCSN) California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI). Results: significant positive association found mean PSCSN CCTDI scores (p<0.05). Educational employment status, voluntary choice job communication other health professionals influenced Conclusion: It determined that ability is important developing self-concept, educational position, choosing profession willingly healthcare staff effective on thinking.
